                                            Angel of Hope
                                            • Hendricks County Angel of Hope, Inc. is an independent, non-profit Indiana corporation that brought an Angel of Hope statue to the Town Hall Park in Avon, Indiana.  Angel of Hope statues provide a place where parents who have lost children come to mourn and reach out to their “little angels.”  We now help to provide for the perpetual maintenance of the statue, and coordinate local participation in the annual December 6 vigil.

                                            • Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Hotline provides free math and science homework help to Indiana students in grades 6-12.

                                            Camp Healing Tree
                                            • Camp Healing Tree seeks to provide an annual weekend grief support opportunity free of charge to youth ages 7 – 17 in Central Indiana that have experienced the death of a loved one. CHT does not seek to provide therapy, but a safe environment conducive to the voluntary expression of feelings of grief by the youth.

                                            Early Readers Club
                                            • This new program, through United Way of Central Indiana, encourages parents and caregivers to read to their child starting day one.  Families can register to receive 12 high-quality children’s books each year until the child’s sixth birthday, providing countless opportunities for kids and parents to read together. The Early Readers Club currently serves children in Hancock, Hendricks, Marion and Morgan counties.

                                            • The AACAP, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in 1953. It is a membership based organization, composed of over 7,500 child and adolescent psychiatrists and other interested physicians. Its members actively research, evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders and pride themselves on giving direction to and responding quickly to new developments in addressing the health care needs of children and their families.  The AACAP widely distributes information here, and elsewhere, in a effort to promote an understanding of mental illnesses and remove the stigma associated with them; advance efforts in prevention of mental illnesses, and assure proper treatment and access to services for children and adolescents.
