Are you familiar with Here We Grow Again? Twice a year, they hold a kids' consignment sale at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex in Danville, and this year's Spring Sale is April 13-16.

They're going to have over 90,000 clothing items, toys, furniture and other kids' items for sale that will save shoppers a ton of money. It's a huge event that Villagers should definitely make a point of experiencing!

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to shop the Here We Grow Again Spring 2016 Sale the day before it's opened to the public? Oh yeah. All the best stuff still there, ripe for the purchasing!

Well, I have three passes to give away to the Here We Grow Again Spring 2016 pre-sale that will take place on Tuesday, April 12, from 4 to 8 p.m.! We're going to do a little online Easter egg hunt every day on March 21, 22 and 23!

Here's how it's going to work:

Hopefully by now you've heard of the Hendricks County Community Youth Fair that They're Our Kids is co-hosting with Macaroni Kid - Hendricks this Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Center in Danville.

Ever since last year's Hendricks County Youth Sports Fair that we hosted together at Danville Community High School was such a big success, we've been talking about hosting a bigger youth fair that encompasses all sorts of organizations, resources and opportunities for Hendricks County youth.

Meghan Stritar of Macaroni Kid - Hendricks was able to secure us the Exposition Hall at the Fairgrounds, and we've spent months since that time planning this event.

With the Hendricks County Community Youth Fair coming up this weekend, I want to let everyone know what we have on tap.

Welcoming and entertaining more than 4,000 visitors over two days last year, the first-ever Mayberry in the Midwest proved to be a rousing success. Expecting more visitors in its second year, organizers want to do even more as they have added another day, more ticketed events and additional free activities to the zany fun that made last year’s festival so popular.

The quiet Hendricks County seat of Danville will transform again into the iconic 1960s fictional community that was home to Andy, Opie, Aunt Bee and Barney for the Mayberry in the Midwest festival May 15-17. Former cast members, amazing tribute artists and even Don Knotts’ real-life daughter, Karen Knotts, will take visitors on a journey inside their televisions to experience life in Mayberry.

While researching a blog post for Visit Hendricks County recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with the superintendent of Hendricks County Parks & Recreation, William Roche.

During our conversation, he enlightened me about some programs that Hendricks County Parks & Rec offers for schools and for Scouts.

While I was aware that they offer programs for Scouts, William explained that they have revamped their Scouting program.

I was completely clueless as to the programs offered to Hendricks County schools.

It all seemed like information that Villagers might like to know about, so pull up a chair.
