![]() Hendricks College Network will host its College and Career Fair on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Complex in Danville, providing kids and adults from Hendricks County and surrounding areas an opportunity to explore more than 100 schools and resources in one location. Additionally, the fair will provide workshops on financial aid, scholarships, athletic recruiting and essay writing. ![]() Colleges from all over Indiana and the Midwest will be at Thursday's College and Career Fair, along with representatives from the Indiana National Guard, the United States military, Binkley Wealth Management, local libraries, Work One, the Hendricks County Community Foundation, Indy Reads, the United States Department of Labor's Training and Apprenticeship program, and much more. There will be representatives from public schools, private schools, four-year colleges, two-year schools, undergraduate programs, graduate programs, technical schools, trade schools, beauty schools, Christian schools, aeronautical schools, nursing programs, art and design schools, and Big 10 and SEC universities that everyone will recognize: Indiana University, Purdue University, Penn State University, the University of Alabama. Workshops on financial aid, scholarships, athletic recruiting and essay writing will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday evening, and then the College and Career Fair itself will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 8 p.m. Admission is FREE. Villagers with kids in high school definitely need to make themselves familiar with the Hendricks College Network. Villagers themselves who are interested in continuing their education or learning new job skills should also check them out. As with They're Our Kids, the Hendricks College Network has its roots in Leadership Hendricks County. Since 1998, the Hendricks College Network has existed to assess and address the post-secondary educational needs of Hendricks County adults and kids. The Hendricks College Network goes around to each Hendricks County public high school and offers FAFSA Days, helping students and parents with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They also offer a huge list of available scholarships, along with several other services.
