They're Our Kids and Macaroni Kid - Hendricks are joining forces to host the second annual Hendricks County Community Youth Fair on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Center in Danville. We are bringing a wide variety of organizations, sports leagues, businesses, counseling services, preschools and other providers of services together in one place for local parents and children to explore. All of the booths at the Hendricks County Community Youth Fair will feature vendors and providers who cater to kids and parents, allowing attendees to discover opportunities and resources available to them in the area. ![]() The fair is free for the public to attend, and there will be activities for children, as well as a visit from the Indiana Pacers Fan Van. Villagers are encouraged to keep up with all of the latest developments leading up to the Hendricks County Community Youth Fair by joining the Facebook event (click here). “The idea for this event came about because Hendricks County has so much to offer families,” said Meghan Stritar, publisher of Macaroni Kid - Hendricks. Macaroni Kid - Hendricks is a website that provides a calendar of local family-friendly events, along with a blog focused on topics that are of interest to parents. They’re Our Kids is a website published by Eric Ivie that is designed to promote active parenting. It provides links to local schools, resources and organizations, as well as a blog. “Although Eric and I provide a lot of information through our websites, sometimes face-to-face interaction can help parents make more educated decisions for things like sports leagues, doctor's offices, clubs, and more,” said Stritar. “My hope is that every family that comes discovers at least one organization to fit their needs, and have fun while researching them all.” Macaroni Kid Hendricks and They’re Our Kids hosted a Hendricks County Youth Sports Fair last winter that featured dozens of sports organizations and served hundreds of attendees. Based on the success of last year’s event, the fair has been expanded to include additional services available to parents and children. Vendors and organizations interested in booth space for the Hendricks County Community Youth Fair are encouraged to click here and then contact Stritar at meghans@macaronikid.com.
