Have you heard of Hobson's Fun Farm in Rockville, Ind.? I hadn't until U.S. Family Guide alerted me to its existence just west of Hendricks County in Putnam County. It looks pretty cool.
According to their website, Hobson's Fun Farm is in its 11th year of operation. (Well, don't I feel dumb for not knowing about it until now!)
It just opened on Sept. 20 and will remain open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Nov. 1, 2014. You can click here to see their hours of operation and admission prices.
Hobson's Fun Farm offers more than 20 attractions for an "udder-ly farm-tastic" time with the entire family. They have hayrides, a corn maze, a cow train, pumpkins, farm animals, a "dairy-air" jumping pillow, Bunnyville, duck races, slides, swings, and ... get this ... a corn cannon. (I know one big kid who'd love to shoot some corn way up into the air!)
On Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., they invite everyone to bring their used jack o'lanterns out to smash them. They even promise great prizes and contests to add to the enjoyment of destroying pumpkins.
I think I need to take my girls out to Hobson's Fun Farm to check it out. Who's with me?
Villagers, if you've been to Hobson's Fun Farm, leave a comment and let me know what your experience was like.
And if you haven't been there yet -- or if you want to return there -- you can click here to get a coupon for $2 off admission! Pretty good deal, huh?
Are you a first responder (fire, EMS, police)? Head out to Hobson's Fun Farm on Sept. 27 or 28 with your identification, and you and your family will get free admission for First Responders' Weekend!
Stay tuned, Villagers. I'll let you know when we make it out to Rockville to check this out.
