The Indiana Department of Education (DOE) released its 2015 ISTEP+ results on Jan. 6, and several Hendricks County school corporations performed very well.
The results are downloadable from the DOE's website (click here) and can then be sorted by a variety of categories. Here are the scores for all of the Hendricks County public school corporations:
In the DOE's table, "ELA" stands for English/Language Arts. "N" refers to the number of students who passed. "Percent pass" refers to the percentage of students within each corporation who passed.
The DOE reported results on 297 public and private school corporations across the state. Brownsburg, Plainfield, North West Hendricks and Avon all scored within the top 10% in the state in "both math and ELA percent pass."
Brownsburg, in particular, knocked it out of the park among public schools in percentage passing, ranking No. 1 in the state in math, No. 4 in language arts and No. 3 overall.
Plainfield ranked among the Top 11 in math, language arts and overall percentage passing.
North West Hendricks ranked among the Top 15 in all three categories. Avon ranked among the Top 30 in math and in overall percentage passing.
Great job, Hendricks County schools!
