Where to Find Santa Claus in Hendricks County

Looking for a place to find Santa Claus in Hendricks County this Christmas season?

Look no further.

Visit Santa at Metropolis
  • When:  Thursday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 7, then daily from Wednesday, Dec. 10 through Christmas Eve. Hours vary. Click here for each day's hours.
  • Where:  Metropolis Shopping Center, Plainfield, next to JCPenney
  • What:  Photo packages start at $16.99.
  • How:  Just show up.
  • Cost:  Free.

Winterland Light Show
  • When:  Fridays and Saturdays, 6 to 10 p.m.; Sundays 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Where:  Ellis Park Train Station, Danville
  • What:  Visit Santa and pose for photos with him. Take pictures of your kids or pets with Santa.
  • How:  Stop in at the Train Station before or after you experience the Winterland Light Show in Ellis Park.
  • Cost:  $8 per vehicle to enter Winterland. $5 with a coupon.

Musical Breakfast with Santa
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 7 to 11 a.m.
  • Where:  Brownsburg West Middle School, 1555 S. Odell Street, Brownsburg
  • What:  Breakfast with Santa, instrument "petting zoo," cookie decorating, face painting, craft stations, Santa Shoppe, musical entertainment provided by Brownsburg instrumental music students.
  • How:  Register by Tuesday, Dec. 2 by completing this form.
  • Cost:  $10 per person.

Breakfast with Santa - Hendricks Regional Health YMCA
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 8 to 10 a.m.
  • Where:  Olive Garden in Avon or Boulder Creek in Brownsburg
  • What:  All children will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and listen to a Christmas story.  Bring an appetite for food and fun as we ring in the Christmas season!
  • How:  Register online.
  • Cost:  $10 per person.  Children under 2 years old are free. For YMCA members:  $8 per adult, $5 per child.

Breakfast with Santa - Brownsburg Lions Club
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 8 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Where:  Bundy Lodge, Arbuckle Acres Park, Brownsburg
  • What:  This will be a free photo opportunity for parents and children wishing to take a picture with Santa. Santa will also have time to hear Christmas wishes from the children.  The Brownsburg Lions Club’s Lion Mascot will also attend for the children’s entertainment.
  • How:  Just show up.
  • Cost:  Free. Breakfasts will be available for purchase. Adult meals including pancakes, sausage and biscuits and sausage gravy can be purchased for $6.00 per meal. Children’s meals for ages 6 years and under are free. Drinks will include coffee, milk, and orange juice.

Breakfast with Santa - Danville Tri Kappa
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Where:  Danville Community Middle School, Door #10
  • What:  For kids ages 2-8. The event starts with breakfast and leads to a morning of pictures with Santa, games, crafts and maybe a little shopping for Mom and Dad. But the best part of the morning is that ALL kids receive a goodie bag! Click here for more information.
  • How:  Purchase tickets at Confection Delights, 57 S. Washington Street in Danville (east side of the Courthouse Square) during their normal business hours.
  • Cost:  $5 per person, ages 2 and up.

Cookies and Cocoa at the Ranch
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 10:30 a.m. to noon OR 1:30 to 3 p.m.
  • Where:  Natural Valley Ranch, 6310 E. CR 350 N., Brownsburg
  • What:  New for 2014! Youngsters will enjoy a wintertime visit to the ranch. Cookies and Cocoa will include photos with Santa Claus by the fire, holiday snacks, storytime with Santa, Mrs. Claus or an Elf, and a craft. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to a local food pantry.
  • How:  Just show up.
  • Cost:  $5 per person.

Christmas Under the Stars Parade
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 6 p.m.
  • Where:  Brownsburg.  Click here for the parade route.
  • What:  Line the streets of downtown Brownsburg, Indiana for the annual night time parade! Head to Brownsburg Town Hall directly after for Christmas carols and the lighting of the Christmas tree by our Junior Grand Marshal. Complementary pictures with Santa will be from 7-9pm.
  • How:  Just show up.
  • Cost:  Free.

Annual Tree Lighting in Avon
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 6; 6 p.m.
  • Where:  Avon Town Hall Park, 6570 E. US Hwy 36, Avon
  • What:  Join us for our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony!  Santa arrives at 6 p.m. There will be drinks, snacks, crafts, entertainment and fireworks.  Project A.N.G.E.L. donations will be accepted.
  • How:  Just show up.
  • Cost:  Free.

It's a Winter Wonderland!
  • When:  Sunday, Dec. 7; 2-4 p.m.
  • Where:  Danville Public Library, 101 S. Indiana Street, Danville
  • What:  Bring the whole family to the library for a Holiday Show featuring “Magic Don” Miller of Family Time Entertainment. There will be lots of audience participation in his amazing holiday themed magic show with some snow covered comedy and colorful illusions. Join us for crafts, refreshments, face painting, and a visit with Santa and Rudolph. Registration is required for this program sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
  • How:  Register online here.
  • Cost:  Free.

Thank you for posting this information. I'm new to the area and can't wait to get my family out and about this wweekend. Sounds like it will be alot of fun.
