For some Villagers, there's no place like home for Spring Break.
If you're staying home, make plans to attend the tenth edition of Kiwanis Klassic Family Movie Night on Thursday, April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Royal Theater in Danville.
The Kiwanis Club of Danville will be showing the 1939 classic "The Wizard of Oz" in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the movie's release.
Admission is just $3 per adult and $1 per child under the age of 12, with all proceeds from ticket sales benefiting the Kiwanis Club of Danville.
"The Wizard of Oz" tells the story of a young woman named Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, who are carried off to a magical land by a Kansas tornado. Dorothy then embarks on an adventure to find the Wizard who can send her back home, picking up a few friends along the way.
This movie was rated G in 1970 and has a run time of 102 minutes. The Wicked Witch of the West's flying monkeys can be a little scary from some of the younger kids, but this helpful parents' guide indicates that there isn't much else to be worried about from a parent's perspective.
This edition of Kiwanis Klassic Family Movie Night is sponsored by Hackleman Auto Collision Repair.
